Candor Techspace and Nobroker have introduced NoPlastic as a part of their Board Room Agenda to ensure long-term performance gains
In boardrooms throughout the corporate landscape, ESG is the acronym of the moment
With the world becoming climate-conscious and various social media campaigns driving awareness on ClimateCrisis, Corporates in India have geared up to making NoPlastic a boardroom agenda. In boardrooms throughout the corporate landscape, ESG is the acronym of the moment. While companies like Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, Capgemini, Bigbasket, etc have already introduced measures to eliminate the use of single-use plastic, many corporates are actively introducing this conversation as a part of their Board Room Discussion to have a more sustainable, long term approach to reducing plastic usage. Similarly, Bangalore based startup – Nobroker.com – a P2P real estate portal has also implemented the use of ceramics instead, it has a workforce of more than 1200 employees and has implemented the same last year in June.
NCR based Candor Techspace, a venture by Brookfield Properties has introduced Bio-degradable paper plates & spoons and replaced plastic bottles with glass across its Gurgaon & Noida office spaces. After the implementation of the campaign last year, the company was able to bring down paper cup consumption from 292K to 29k. Various companies like Sapient, Cvent, EY, RBS etc which are working out of Candor Techspace’s SEZ campuses have joined the movement as well. Supporting the sustainability mission, the Candor Techspace has also taken measures like adding air-purifying plants, Swachchta Pledge by all its employees, Kiosk for recycled products, hiring waste disposal agency, public awareness campaigns, Discontinued workstation dustbins; replacing plastic films in food packaging with butter paper etc.
